SEC teams will play in NCAA Championship

Four teams from the Southeastern Conference will represent the league at the 2016 NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship.

SEC Co-champions Florida and Missouri collected national seeds, with the Gators winning the N ° 11 seed and the Tigers winning the n°15 seed. Kentucky and Texas A & M joined Florida in winning big bids for the tournament.

Missouri will play the first and second rounds in Columbia, Missouri. from Thursday, Dec. 1. Purdue will face Iowa State at 17: 30 ET, followed by Northern Illinois against Missouri at 19: 30 ET. The winners of Thursday’s matches will play in the second round at 7 PM ET on Friday, December 1. 2.

Florida will also host first-and second-round games, starting Friday in Gainesville, Fla. Cincinnati will face Florida State at 16: 30 ET, while Alabama State will face Florida at 19 PM ET. In the second round, the winners of the first round will be on Saturday, Dec. 3 o’clock at 20 O’CLOCK ET.

Texas A & M will travel to Austin, Texas, to confront SMU in the first round of the tournament on Friday at 5 p.m. ET. Texas-Rio Grande Valley will host No. 4 Texas for a 19: 30 p.m. et match. The winners will face each other in the second round on Saturday at 20: 00.

Kentucky will compete in the Seattle subregional, facing Colorado State in the first round on Friday at 8 PM ET. Number 8 Washington will host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi for a 22: 30 p.m. et game. The winners will face off in the second round on Saturday at 22h ET.

The teams that win both games will advance to the regional games on December 9 and 10. The NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship regional championships will be held at four non-predetermined campuses, which will be announced after the end of the games on December 3rd.

At each venue, four teams will compete in a regional knockout semi-final. All regional semifinal games are broadcast on ESPN3. The regional finals matches are broadcast on ESPNU.

The regional winners advance to the national semifinals and Championship finals, jointly hosted by Ohio State University and the Greater Columbus Sports Commission at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, on December 15 and 17.
